Assorted thoughts after 18 hours on the road....
First, I spotted Steve on to a bad line at the first obstacle at Chinamen's. I take full responsibility for that. Let it be known though that the line I was trying to put him on was the line that I was told was best. It was my fault, but we got you out of there.
The Jambo was awesome. I am glad that I ran Iron Thong with the Marmot, Mr. Hunt and Jerry. That is a good driver's trail.
With the excpetion of my mistake spotting Steve, the rest of the spotting was pretty awesome. Having a truck that can handle it and being able to take and follow directions helps a ton.
The line Mr. Hunt took on Whale rock was awesome, reminscent of Yellow Belly Ledge. If he wouldn't have broken, that looked doable and he almost spanked it.
Steve can't sing.
Despite what the boards say, a lot of wheeling can be done without a solid axle and a winch.
The ORS guys are a great crew. Buy their stuff, wheel with them, and love what I now consider the greatest Toy shop in America.
I will get my tire warrantied. They were not happy to see me this afternoon.
Mike, I will send you an e-mail so that I can get one of those videos with the Moab footage as well. That would be great.
Toyota owners are a cut above.
I got out the Lego's as soon as I got home to start thinking about a 4 link.
Thanks Anna, I thought that I should do my part to keep things as close to PG rated as possible.
Here is a little secret that some already know...If you have IFS, get a full length belly pan, get a strong gas tank skid, get some lockers and then GET IT! There is a lot of wheeling that can be done when people take off their skirts, stop wishing for a solid axle and just drive. This was an observation only confirmed at the Jambo
Bumping it is important, but not all the time. Gearing works on dry rocks, gas works on the wet ones.
Thank you all who helped mark the end of a truly amazing summer on the trails of the southwest, it was an honor and a pleasure!
Martinez Canyon is still the most kick ass trail I have ever done!

I re-painted all the little scratches under the frame today, nothing what so ever is damaged or bent. That was pretty lucky. Sure a crawler is not that useful in a hail storm, but it is pretty uselful in the hail storm buy saving your frame. You can still bump it slowly.

Yase... However, since I had the great opportunity to be stuck in airports all across the mid-Atlantic states (replete with blackouts and delays) last week while you guys were out wheeling, I WANT TO SEE SOME FRIGGIN' PICS!!! Hey, if I couldn't be there I need to live vicariously through you guys.

OK, you guys hooked me. Just the banter on this board alone has me committed to being there next year. My current job and geographic location kept me from attending this year, but hopefully both will have changed by next years event. Sounds like everyone had a blast and I can't wait to see photos and video.
Moab in October, huh? I was having similar thoughts, but was thinking of not waiting until next year. Maybe I can convince some of the CO boys and girls to come play, if they haven't used up all their vaction.

So you knew as much about the obstacle as we all did. You knew which line Adrian was directing you onto. It wasn't like you were thinking you wanted Caskey's line but your spotter tricked you.
But I'm sure you know that and you're just jerking our chains.
That's why we love you Steve!

Dont' worry - barring some other major event in our life - there will be Mojo in Moab.
