Need info to do a 3.4L swap in a 91 pickup 3.0L

Okay, so I need info on the swap, I blew my 3.0 up and I'm considering swapping to a 3.4. What all is necessary to do this swap? Do I need to change the wiring harness or anything major?

Just about every thing you need to know is in the stickies .

Start reading !!

It all depends on just how you define major !!

Yes you need to merge the wiring harnesses between your vehicle and the donor vehicle

It is by far easier to buy a complete donor vehicle then one piece at a time.

I noticed a thread right after I posted this about it and found a video on it explaining the breakdown of what it takes to swap it.

Yes on the harness but there is a company that you can buy the complete swap harness from for about $600! Can’t remember off the top of my head but just Google it! Is it a 4Runner or pickup? Cause I know my 91 sr5 4x4 rear end matches up with 4.10s which I’ve heard makes that part of matching up tranny way easier! I was gonna do it with mine cause I rolled my 96’ Tacoma 3.4 and already had the 91’ runner but I didn’t have a bunch of time or a good spot to do it! I want to swap in one of those 3.0 straight 6 turbo motors! Sure it would be a hair puller!

I think you're a little late to the party, buddy.
