I'll be there Thursday Morn sometime after 8am.

I have an open/open 4 Runner with aal's and 31's I was hoping to take it easy and just have fun without having to worry too much about breaking stuff. What kind of trails would anyone suggest. we would like to run up to Baldwin lake (the wife loves to fish) but that might be WAY to light for most of you. It's just a real bumpy dirt road with some shallow stream crossings. I would really like to run up to Tin Cup as I've heard it is pretty cool up there. But I don't know how hard of a trail it would be and if it would be a waist of time.

We are bringing our Boxer so there will be at least one dog there. He is a wuss though wont lay near the fire and wines when the sun goes down cause he wants to go to bed. So we put him in the tent and he goes to sleep.

I'm planning to arrive Thursday night and doing HC on Fri. Something besides Carnage on Sat. And something on Sunday. Right now I've got reservations at a local motel, but I'll stop by the camp site for sure.

I will not be there all. I am flying to a wedding in CA. But TC will be there and will likely tease me with stories of great fun!

Sounds good! You should come by the campsite Thursday night so we can plan for Holy Cross on Friday. We need to figure out a time to meet at HC on Friday. CuBuff4Runner will be coming from Denver that morning and DIRTCO will be coming from Breck. mt_goat and myself can caravan up from BV.

That's too bad. I still haven't gotten a chance to meet you yet. Have fun in Cali!

My first thought on the raffle was every rig that attends would receive a raffle ticket for the Addicted Off Road front bumper. But I had an idea. I could sell additional raffle tickets for $1/each and donate the proceeds to Stay the Trail. I'm guessing it won't be alot of money but it's a donation to a great cause, helping keep our trails open. What are everyone's thoughts?

I don't know how many people are coming from the Denver area, but I will be leaving the Summit County area early Friday Morning to run Holy Cross. I am planning on grabbing some breakfast in Frisco and taking I-70 to the top of Vail Pass, airing down and taking Shrine Pass to Red Cliff, then to Holy Cross (only a couple miles away). Shrine Pass is a pretty smooth dirt road that even a Subaru can go over; it's just a fun road to check out the scenery, cruise along at a higher speed than your average trail and be aired down for the access road to Holy Cross. It only take's a little bit longer than taking the highway. If anyone wants to tag along let me know and we can meet up somewhere along the way.

Here's some info on Shrine Pass:

Sounds good. I'll add both of your "screen names" to the list

The Jamboree starts in 17 days

If anybody can bring some firewood, that would help.

We need to pin down a meeting time for the Holy Cross run on Friday, August 1st. We will have people driving from Denver, BV, Breck, and possibly Pueblo that morning to meet at the trailhead. I was thinking between 9-9:30am at the trailhead. Does that give everyone enough time to make it to the HC trailhead?

I was JUST going to say that! LOL

What time? I'm likely going to camp up by HC on thursday night, and then come back and pack up after the run, and head to BV. 9-9:30 is rocking!

I think 9-9:30 should work out great! Let's plan on that. I will be driving up from BV, towing the 4Runner up to the dirt road that leads to the HC trailhead. I plan on leaving the tow rig and trailer down at the bottom of the road and driving the 4Runner up the bumpy dirt road with aired down tires

NOTE: If you are bringing firewood, get it locally - do NOT bring firewood from a potential beetle kill area!

I guess that counts me out, not that I have much room in a bobbed and dovetailed 4Runner.
