Well, AFAIK, I'll be there on Friday afternoon. I'll also have some new 305/70-16 MT/R's, so if anyone is interested in my 285's, let me know!

I'll also have that SC that I could install for you in about 2.5 hours if anyone's interested....

305s? Awesome. Will your 4.56s be with the Supercharger? I really want to drive your 4R with 305s, 4.56 and S/C.

Guys,

I have some bad news. After slaving all weekend on the crawlbox and driveline I have issues that will keep me from making this trip.

1.) I ordered Marlin's long travel driveshaft kit. Works great, only problem is its for the 85 runner and now my flanges don't match up on the front shaft at the pinion. I have to order a new flange and install it.

2.) Marlin didn't send a TCASE mount for the new box so it's not supported to the skid

3) The skid I ordered was for a 85 runner and will have to be modified to fit my truck. It's being held on by 3 bolts right now.

This list is just too tall to fill in 48 hours and not having hte parts I need. I can't believe it, but it doesn't suprise me that these problems have popped up. Feel like I've been hamstringed a bit.

I'm working on getting the parts right now. I don't think it looks good though.

i found some locally USED w/ less than 2500 miles on them (he has the receipt) and he's only asking $650. he paid over $1000 for them w/ M&B and the CHEAPEST I've found them is $195 + tax EACH.

that's about right. sam's club has them for $185 + tax (9.25% here) + something like $7.50 for M&B each for 285's and $20 more each for 305's.

it comes out to be about $840 for 285's and about $950 for 305's and that's NOT a roadforce balance...

Best I can do is parts on Thursday. I would love to come down, but not without my truck. Just put too much into this thing to not take it somewhere and wheel ASAP. This is a huge dissapointment and let down.

The spline driveshaft kit was an oversight, same with the skid being for a 85 runner set up. Just an idiot!!

Damn.

Well, if you tell Marlin the situation, he may overnight the correct parts to you and you can still make it! I am going to be there thursday afternoon nad can help you out with whatever you need to finish the job.

I really want to see this thing on the trail.

Campsite space available?

Who here has reserved a campsite at Crawford's and has a little extra room available? I just called and they are full.

Thanks,
