I'm ready for the trails now better than I've ever been - at least the sliders are on. The locker is just for fun and my amusement - I've never been
stuck. I have stacked a few rocks though

 

lol... funny you should mention that, Doc.

i NEVER got stuck until i got my rear locker and winch. once i had them, i wasn't as afraid to try the harder stuff, until eventually, the locker got me into stuff that i couldn't get out of w/o the winch.

now that you're locked, we've got to find you a front bumper and M8000!

I'm with you Doc, I need a vacation from life so bad. Told my wife that they have no phones there, cell service is almost non existent (she learned that the last trip I made there :-) ) Just going to do nothing but wheel, eat and sleep.

16 days till the thursday. Also, if anyone wants to stay another day, you can crash in our Cabin. We aren't checking out till Monday afternoon and plan to run all day on Sunday as well.

 

Someday I will find a front ARB and a good winch - These are in the future plans. I will buy at my price and will wait until I can't live without it.

The first time that I ever went to Tellico I was a little scared and was afraid of the ridicule of being a problem all day. Hell - I did as well or better than most of the modded runners !!!! The next trip I jumped on the moderate stuff without sliders and still never had a problem. I just watched and learned THE importance of picking the right line - I am convinced that 90% of wheeling is the driver - not the modifications - although they do help.

I wheel my ass off and would not be afraid of attempting most anything with my runner on 31's - air down to 15 lbs and grab the little stick and GO.
My crawl ratio is excellent in 4wheel drive - 4.56 gears

 

Oh, sitting in the office watching it rain while I draw maps and make new management plans for our landowners that were hit hard by Hurricane Ivan, oh how I wish I was at Tellico
camping at Crawfords
hitting the trails
drinking a few beers
eating some Russian cooking
sitting around the campfire
so on and so on

Oh, I'm so bored, get me out of here, is it May yet?

Yep, the eating and bull talking is just as much fun as anything else. I'll bring the Conecuh Sausage and Southern Flavor seasoning as always-looks like I'll need to bring more this time. I'm sure Paul will whip up those famous Kabobs! Hey Paul-don't forget those Russian cookies either!

Just the nonsense at Crawfords alone is fun enough to make the trip worth it, plus you get the best wheeling in the South.

 

Hey now, I've got tiny AT rubber too. I wish I had some 33 MTs, but the money just ins't there. I'm glad I won't be the only one riding on 265s.
