Aren't you locked front and rear now? You definitely can tackle slickrock if you're locked front and rear. I'll be there right with ya.

No locker in the rear. I spent that money on the 4.7 marlin kit!

Man, that's going to make a big difference, I'm sure. You're manual tranny, right? I can't imagine wheeling with a manual with no crawler box. Too much skill required for me.

Chris

P.S. You'll be fine on slickrock, still.

You guys should try this place:

http://nix99.com/?

I picked up 2 extra cv's for $125 with shipping included and they are Toyota axles, not those cheap reman's at Autozone. You can't get that good of a deal on 1 at Autozone. I can't remember who I talked to, just be very specific about the vehicle you are buying them for. I requested that I get some from a vehicle that wasn't hit in the front-who knows what I got, but it never hurts to ask.

someone(i forgot their name) told me that my winch wouldn't fit in the bumper, plus with your frame horns showing with just 1" of body lift, all of my frame would be showing!! bump for a good deal, though!!! i'm going to 4.88's and no front locker and i have 2 spare cv's mounted to my bed bar,,,, i just couldn't justify a front locker,i know i'd be tearing frontend parts up left and right!!!! later

that's cause i can describe your wheeling style with just 4 words...

"TOO MUCH SKINNY PEDAL"

yeah, this bumper requires a remote solenoid box. if you have a Warn "I" winch, then the solenoids are integrated and it won't work w/o cutting the top out.

I'm game for SlickRock. Have been up that before as a passenger in a Cruza but for lower 2, I don't know. I've got a winch on so add that to the group. Marlin Crawler gets ordered at the end of the week so I'll have the gears. Rear end is welded solid and will have a lockright up front.

33s though is what makes me a little nervous. At least they won't put as much stress on my running gears as the bigger tires.

Just make sure you tell him that you are with the Toyota 4Runner group and he will put us all together. He's putting us on the creek as always, which are all water/electric sites. They cost a little more, but when you're splitting it 3 or 4 ways the cost is ridiculously cheap anyway. My site is reserved, but my new camper is big, so there might be room for one tent on it, which Chris (ravencr) usually takes.
Do I need to reserve a site now ? Early on I planned to pitch a tent around
your camper. Let me know and I will reserve a spot.

I'll be locked in the rear and have my sliders on - but I'll just stick to the normal stuff - no slickrock for me !

Sweeet! It's going to be a blast! I'm not doing or trying lower 2 at all. I've walked it and it will swallow up my vehicle. I wouldn't make it 10 feet on that trail. I'm running 33" tires, so I'll be right there with ya!
