Would YOU pay $16K for a 4WD 4th Gen with 120K?

Hi All, I am in the market for a 4th gen 4runner(V6). It seems that for my budget ($16K), the only options out there are 2004-06 4WD SR5s with 100K-120K miles.

I would much rather get one with 80K on the clock, but dealers have these in the range of 17-20K!

I've got to use a dealer, I'm putting 50% down and want to use their financing options.

Thanks for any help!

Seems thats what they're going for nowadays. the V8s go for considerably more.

Thanks MaK92-4RnR - Nice to see some NorCal folks on the board. I hope some more in our area respond and give me assurance for what I am about to spend!

TheRev. - I appreciate our response. I wish I had the time to fly out, make the purchase and drive back! That would be awesome...

well CA cars are naturally worth more because of our salt free environment. 16 seems normal, but i wouldn't want to pay that much. you could probably get a personal loan through a credit union and snag something off craigslist.

They are a bit rare as we sell 400+ cars a month but when they come they are usually gone in 48 hours. If that's what u want I can keep an eye out

MaK92-4RnR: Yeah, I was just talking to a buddy of mine about this. I did see some killer deals from private parties. Might have to go by some credit unions this weekend!

TheRev.: I appreciate the offer, but your location won't work for me, thanks all the same.

Anyone else (hopefully from the west coast area) have some feedback for me? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Why don't you think about spending $8,000? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/c...k=&maxAsk=8000

Of course, you'll miss out on the monthly payments.

Ah! You're no fun! What's life without monthly payments?

I ended up picking up a '04 Sport 4WD, 100K, black with black leather, tow package, single owner, dealer maintained, new brakes, new tires, moonroof..

Grand total? $15K!

I am so ˟˟˟˟˟ing happy....thanks all for your responses!!
