I was made an offer for my truck

I would like an estimated value of my truck. I was recently followed home by someone who was very interested in my '88 but I kept declining. He gave his phone# incase I change my mind. He offered 3,000 before he gave up. Did I make a mistake?

As you can see except for the dash it is really nice, no body rust. The engine runs fine. 3vze I get 17-19.5, I never have to rev over 3k RPM . More pics in my members page. Not too sure about the ODO mileage it reads 49,500??? I am pretty sure if this is not correct it has much less than 100k. The AC is not working.

its getting harder and harder to find clean toyota trucks that being said how much you like your truck? if you like it why get rid of it. you can look and see what 3k can get you on craigslist but if theres nothing why sell it! my .02

same thing happened to me about a year ago. i was getting gas and a guy with a 86 4runner pulled up. he bought it brand new and has something like 310k miles on it! i just left my job togo back to school so i really couldn't do it though.

I see your point, I have not seen an older one around my area in good shape.

Where u from? In the midwest it would be really hard to buy one that nice again. It might only cost 3k and change but it would be really hard to find. And if you were to buy an ugly one and try to pretty it up, it would cost a lot more than that.

I am in WV part of the rust belt. This is a NC truck, it was sun baked.

3 grand seemed like a reasonable offer. depending on how much $$$ you have banked away, 3,000 + your stash could get a much better truck.

When people want rid of trucks quick around here 3k could get you a very nice rig.
3k is a good solid offer. Call him and say 3500 lol.

Thanks for your responses, I will hold on to the truck. Even though I only had it since May I am attached to the truck. Never felt this way about a vehicle.
