Noob from Los Angeles
Hi all! My name is Ben and I am a noobie to offroading and Toyotas. I just recently bought a 1997 4Runner limited 4x4 with 320k miles. I know it's a lot of miles but I got a good deal and I heard Toyotas run forever.
Hopefully I get answers here and I look forward to meeting new friends.
Cheers!

Welcome to the family
That kind of mileage is nothing for these trucks... get all the fluids and plugs changed to "zero out" your interval maintenance if you don't have good records from the po, get it oil sprayed [rust protection] very necessary living near the sea and playing in the desert like you are/will be... and you'll be laughing.

Nothing really.... earlier versions liked to eat head gaskets but they more or less solved that... they can be a bit "underpowered" for what they are... and they are a little harder on gas then the 22re... properly taken care of they are a descent engine... even very good for their time...
