I but probably won't be able to leave here until noonish. Jennifer has to get enough hours in at work, so I'll use Friday morning to change the oil, load camping gear, and generally get ready We'll probably hit We could buzz around to all the trail(road) heads and see which ones looked like they were worth hittin'.

Man, I'd love to wheel all Friday but right now it's looking like we'll be able to leave around 12:30-1:00 pm; that puts us in Monett about 3, Cassville about 3:15 pm. (according to MS MapPoint). I was just hoping to get enough time in to find a few trailheads and see which ones looked fun.

I've got two week-long trips for work in October...so I probably won't be able to make either of those...

John, that sounds like a good plan. I would like to check the trail heads, and find a good camping/tow rig parking area.

Hans, I think John and I should be back by then... I figure that will be when the g/f shows up. All else fails you and her can hang out at the house til we get back.

Cory and I are planning to be at Rocktoberfest, happening at Byrd's near Cass Arkansas October 26-30.

I'm not planning on competing with my truck (at least not right now), but I'll be doing some hardcore trails. I assume Cory will go whereever I try to go... right?

If anyone wants to meet us at Byrd's Friday or Saturday, hang out and ride along, post up.

Man, this thread has gotten active lately. What do we have right now, two or three trips going on? At least it's all the same people.

We need subthreads! Or maybe we should form our own 4ROC chapter...
What would we call it? The Ozark chapter?

Cool. Now that I take a little more time to look at it, 4ROC looks pretty dead. For everyone. 4roc.org no longer exists, a bunch of the state chapters are dead or dying. As such, I would hate to start up another forum, use it for a while, then see it die too.

Maybe a better solution would be to have regional subforums under the "Off Road Trip Planning" forum...

We'll just have to keep in from dying

Ok.... I officially quit wrenching on the truck. It's loaded on the trailer and is going wheeling as is. No rear blinkers, 1/4 rock lights installed, everything is ghetto fabbed, no clue where I'm putting the spare tire, electrical connections not sealed up, shifter boots and console not on, interior is trashed, plastic bag taped around torn air intake, winch solenoids sitting loose on front bumper, windshield wipers are dead, and I'm missing lugnuts. I think this is the best shape the truck's ever been in

Would the simplest trip organizer be to start a seperate thread for each trip and then have Cory maintain a list to those threads in his first post on this thread? And we'll continue to BS in this thread to keep it on top

Did my first real tow with the truck tonight... 13.5 miles using exactly 1 gallon of fuel. Could have gotten better, but I just HAD to see if I could pass that car going up hill. I <3 Cummins

I'm still planning on 6-7 on Friday.

That's an idea... for thread organization... as long as you're talking about Cory without an 'e.'

As for the shape of your truck...well... most of what you mentioned is fairly cosmetic. Lug nuts are nice, but since you're trailering it, well.... we'll keep an eye on those. We'll see what kind of improvements we can make on it Friday Night at Cory's.
Windshield wipers might be nice to have on this trip, though...

I'm hoping the weather forecast is wrong! I have the wipers, just haven't put them on. I aired up to 10psi in anticipation of on road driving... though I found 45mph on my speedometer to be the limit of how fast I wanted to go due to deathwobble. Near as I can tell that's probably about 55mph actual speed. If I recall correctly the last time I aligned it was by hitting a tree stump with my tierod.

Yeah, I'm talking about the feminine spelling of Cory

I'm jealous of you guys that only have 1 day of work left. Haven't been wheeling since Feb so I'm pumped

And as far as seperate posts, we'll see if we can get a sub forum... if not, we'll just start new threads, and then just PM me a link and I'll post it up on this thread... or you could do it yourself, I think the frist post or two in the thread talks about that.
