Most any safely-equipped stock 4-wheel drive vehicle will be able to enjoy these trails.

What better way to celebrate paying off a vehicle than a little rock rash!
From the pics I'd say stock is OK. The Isuzu reviewer was open front and rear and he didn't seem to have a problem. Unless you get into real wild stuff, a stock vehicle will go 90% of the places a built one will, it'll just do it a little less elegantly.
Everyone I know started wheeling stock vehicles... that's how you start. No one goes out and spends $$$ on a bling rig before they hit dirt in a stocker and get hooked.
Come on out and play... or we'll find where you live and confiscate your t-case, driveshaft, and front axle.

BTW, how many others have a CB in yer rig?

I'm not planning on having a CB in the truck. My wheeling antenna is 600 miles away and it's not important enough to make me buy another one. I find Toyota horns to be high pitched and annoying enough to effectively communicate through any background noise.
I'll be bringing my built rig rather than my stocker because it needs a shakedown cruise as it's been torn apart since March. Though it looks flat enough I may try the Scout... haven't wheeled that thing in 2 years. Hell, I haven't driven it more than 40 feet in 2 years. The gas tank is a windshield washer fluid bottle with a rubber hosing running through the top. I'll probably have to stop every 10 minutes and top it back off
And I need it there so we can tell Cory "Go try that mud hole, we'll get you out" and have him believe us. Remember Gruber? I've got pictures... $50 in my paypal account in 24 hours or I'm posting them.
What's everyone feeling like, 1 day trip or 2 day trip? Hey, event Grand Marshal, think I need things like tail lights, license plate, or insurance for this run? In other words, is there tow rig parking right there, or am I going to have to cruise by a line of super-troopers to go wheeling?

Cool, man... keep us in mind, subscribe to the thread! As you can tell we don't go - haven't gone - that often, but with colsoncj close again, we probably will. Shoot, this is actually my first time to go with any of you guys, as far as I know...

I'd love to get back to ~ 1 trip per month. That should give anyone who wants to wheel several chances a year to come have some fun. And I need to justify the $$ I spent on my tires and twinstick
One trip a month isn't bad until you start breaking stuff, then it becomes too much of a drain to keep duct taping the truck back together between runs
At least with Toyotas we don't have to put or vehicles back together ON the trail like those Jeep guys.

I'm feeling like not going in to work tomorrow and just wheeling for a week and a half. haha. Wifey and pocketbook wouldn't like it though.
Remind me again, this is supposed to be a housewarming party AND wheeling trip, right? Any details on the party?
I wouldn't mind coming up Friday, in fact we may do that anyway. Wifey is coming along...she said she'd even give camping out a try. Any info on campsites near Cassville? Roaring River State Park any good?

OK, event general is here... btw my name is Cory, Cargun is Hans, Tulsa is Brian, and I dont know the rest of your guys' names.
I have a CB in the truck, and it works good.
Hans, post the pics, im not payin 50 bucks to keep from showing everyone i can be a dumbass.
I think Cassville is the order on Saturday... and Sunday I hadn't got that far.
As far as a party, it will be just us (a yotatech housewarming). camping wise, we can if we want, but doesnt matter. Roaring river is real good, I think we might have to look into how far it is from where we are wheelin at. I could do some campin!
As far as me being back, yes, and yes I will keep this thread up and kickin, and yes we should be wheelin once a month, come rain, shine, snow, or otherwise.
I was thinkin everyone can come out friday night (if ya want), we can stay at the house, drink some beer, get to know each other, so on and so forth... (also check out the rigs). Sat morning, get up and go wheelin. then I dont have a plan.... options are:
1. Wheel then camp close to wheeling location.
2. Wheel then come back to house and not camp (I like camping better)
Then from there we can get up, wheel a little longer, or call it a trip well done.
I should be at work by 5:30ish sunday night, but can probably get out of it.
Jobs:
1. Injohneer... can you dig up directions and any info about the wheeling spot in cassville, and have that ready for us?
2. Hans, I want you to find out if there are any other good wheeling areas close to there or Monett. I have a list you can check into.
3. Me, Im going to check into camping arangements in the local area of cassville and see what I come up with.
Can we try and get this info sorted out by say... next weekend?

Oh, and wifey's are just fine to come along! Hans, you got the office Friday, and Injohneer, since your bringin your wife, you two get the spare bedroom. I do have more room in the house if anyone else decides to come... We can figure something out, no prob. Also, let us try to not get my new house dirty... I finally own something nice and clean, so no spillin your beer on my carpet, for one you have to clean it, and two thats alcohol abuse, which should be illegal.
And friday night, since my g/f bought me a nice grill, we'll be havin a bbq: burgers and brats, unless you bring you own meat.. i just bought a house and man those things are expensive, so I cant even buy myself steaks, let alone steaks for everyone {cause I use my money on smart things like beer and wheelin}.

I can only do the 1 day (saturday 9/23) this time. can't take 2 weekend days off without more time knowing i was actually planning to come so i could get more hours during the week. dont let that stop anyone else though. putting in the request off tomorrow am, and shouldn't be a problem. however, due to funds, i'll probably be "camping" in my backseat/cargo area.

Got the PM, Now I have directions
I'll see what kind of info I can track down on the exact location; I know there's more out there. Should be able to print out a few maps and whatnot. I'll also try to stop by the Ranger Station in Cassville on Friday (the 22nd) and get any good info they have.
By the way, Wifey is Jennifer and I'm John... thus the spelling for inJOHNeer
Sounds like your gf is a keeper, if she got you a grill. I don't mind chippin' in on some foodstuffs; we don't drink so you won't have to worry about us spilling the beer on the carpet

Cory...
So now you're delegating tasks for your party? Damn you're a lazy SOB! Remember, delegating only works if you have competent people under you
It appears both of the places you PM'd me are closed that weekend... so unless you want to rent them for us....
Where's your "whole list of places" that you keep talking about? Are you pulling a Sen. McCarthy on us?
"I could do some campin." I keep telling you.... an air mattress in the back of your Runner/Burban isn't camping!
Oh... I'll see what I can do about shooting a hog for the weekend. Haven't seen any around... but I'll be packing when I'm out wrenching on the truck just in case.
