The FJ has a 4.0 V6, and I am sure it will pull it.
Moderator UKMyers (Joey) on the forums here pulled his SAS'd 4Runner with his Tacoma, and the SAS'd rig was on a trailer.

I have an FJ, and they are very powerful and have lots of torque.

depends on where you're at, and what's your taste on mod's, i'd get this one a serious look:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/883264157.html

$18500 is not that bad, it's OBO.

quote from the seller:

Basics:
2007 FJ Cruiser 4x4 with every option.
Voodoo Blue
Mileage: 40,6xx

Mods:
Completely aftermarket suspension: Donahoe Racing front adjustable coil overs, Donahoe Racing rear shocks, OME Medium Coils, All Pro Offroad Upper and Lower adjustable rear links (their top of the line beefy ones, these will NOT BREAK or BEND). The truck has basically the equivalent to a 3" lift.

Wheels/Tires: Eagle Alloy rims with Pro Comp Xtreme M/T tires.

All Pro winch bumper up front with large hoop light bar and Hella Black Magic lights.

All Pro IFS skid and Tranny Skid
Interior:
Rockford Fosgate T162S components (x2)
Rockford Fosgate T8004 amp
Stinger 3 Farad capacitor
all 1/0 wiring and no use of stock wiring for entire stereo.

Onboard air: Dual Viair 480c compressors to a 3 gallon tank. Switched up front. This is useful for airing up on after the trail and is also connected to a Siege Engineering train horn (4 horn set up)

CB set up on roof - out of the way and in perfect position for use on the trail, comes with CB antenna on rear with Bandi Mount.

Llumar limo tint on all back windows, Llumar dark tint on front windows, and a limo sun strip on front windshield (legal).

This FJ is completely ready for offroad and has always suprised me as to what it can do. I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, gotten this truck stuck in anything, and I have done some insane trails with it. You will have to upgrade nothing to take this out.

end quote.
oh, it's not mine.

ok...this is the thing..

im a student and full time at a toyota dealer...im in the T-ten program..

"toyota program"

anyway...since things are startting to get better..im looking for a good DD that i can tow my jeep anywhere...

i live in miami...so it will be

tellico
riverrock
moab
ocala
etc...

i was looking at the duallys

ram 3500
f350
and 3500

...do i need it? i dont think so i just think they look bad ass....

so..in that case an fj cruiser will also good..to tow once in a while....

there isnt other trucks out there that i like..so what do you guys think?

and im talking about an used one..

one of those dually run for like

12k-15k

fj runs not less than 17k
