Dealer just called, instead of me calling all the time
He said my rig was marked "VIP/HOT" status, and it should be here tomorrow or Friday he thinks.

He got some Toys in today, but no FJs.
Could be some cars from the same ship mine came in on Friday.

He said as soon as he sees it pull in, I will get the buzz.

Also Cartoys told me today people who buy a rig from my dealer get a good discount at Cartoys.
That is good, should bring down the price on that alarm a little.

My sales manager also told me to pass along the info that there is an outfit in Tacoma that is doing sunroofs on the FJs.
And get this, you are able to keep the ceiling speaker.
May have to get one with the Christmas bonus.

What are the top 5 mods for the FJ? I would for sure put on some BFG AT/MT's first thing...

But what else?

I would say it is the same as for any other truck out there.

1. Tires
2. Sliders
3. Locker
4. Remainder of armor (bumpers, etc)
5. Lift

That's awesome news Corey!
Looking forward to seeing some cool pictures. I've grown a little tired of Bob's showing off

This is what sandy-tongued Bristol thinks of your comments about his beach ride.

It is here!
Although I do not have it yet.
It left for the Seattle area last night, but has not reached my dealer.
It is about 7 miles away from me in a holding yard, and may not get to my dealer until later today or tomorrow.
Of course it is to late for them to do the 2 to 3 hour prep thing on it.

So they will prep it Monday morning, and more than likely I will be driving a new FJ Cruiser Monday afternoon.
I just got back from completing all of the paper work and handing over my down payment and title to the 4Runner.

Now get this.
They told me if I back out, there are 10 buyers already wanting my rig.
Dang vultures

Many are in line for the rig, and they know mine is coming in, so they wait in the shadows to see if I pass upon it or if the deal falls through, then they swoop in for the kill.

I went for the Expel stuff on 1/2 of the hood, the mirrors, the headlights, and the leading edge of the doors.
That will get done later.
All I have to do is drop off the rig after work one day, they give me a free loaner, and they drive the rig a block to get it done, and I get the rig back the next day.

Corey this has got to be the most anticipated FJ deliver in history. I feel like we have all been waiting on our first born. You better send us a Cigar with a "It's a FJCruiser" wrapper on it. You have had enough time waiting on this to have them made. Just kidding man...Congrats on finally arriving and we are all happy for you. You better post up some pictures Monday night. I want to see one with them handing the keys to you at delivery.

He he he, it has been a long time Phil.
We have a pod meeting every morning at work at 6 am at our conference room table with two other job sites via one of those conference phones.

The boss was going over the list of who was taking days off, and I told him I might be taking Monday off if I took delivery of it over the weekend.

He then said over the tele that I was expecting a baby
Most of them there got it

The days are winding down, Corey . Are you going to wash it the minute you get it, or are you going to wait for a couple of days?

Whew, it's felt like nine months. I was actually starting to worry about the typical August price increase, but you're invoiced and locked at intro pricing.

Might as well get that Expel installed before the Griot's wax job. Does the Expel need to 'cure' before waxing?

Jim, will not wash it for a few weeks.
Getting an alarm installed Tuesday, and then next weekend will concentrate on installing:
Bentup sliderz
Bandi CB antenna mount
Slee/Yakima Hi-Lift mounts
Cargo box
PowerTank

It is going to be a very busy mod weekend, plus I want to spend some time driving it.

Bob, they strip off all wax, although the rig will not have any on it yet, before they do that Expel treatment.

Probably 3 weeks out it will get its first bath early in the morning, then the rest of the morning a power clay and Best Of Show Griotize treatment.

The Expel will not need to cure at all.
It sure looks good on my boss's black Lexus car.
That is what sold me on it.

So much to do
I am really looking forward to getting back into 4wheeling again.

Oh, gotta pick me up some kitty litter.
Where I park is a HUGE oil leak from the power steering on the 4Runner.
Can not have neighbors thinking the FJ is leaking

Good thing. I just laughed because we have had two whole rows of FJs for weeks at work. (They still wont let me drive one. I ask every day. One day they will. One day.)
