For kickers I just built my rig the way I want it, but added in the wheels locks (5 piece) and a spare tire cover.
The tire cover comes with a package which has the hitch all wired up and the roof rack installed at port of Portand.

This order here is identicle to the one I already have in with my other dealer, except we added in the hitch (not wired up) and the roof rack, but no wheel locks.

Buy one from Tuscaloosa Toyota, stay at my house the night and then drive back to WA staying in Yotatecher's homes all the way back to your home...cost you nothing but gas.

I do not have vaca to take time off from work until it builds up.

Just learned something from the dealer I got the quote from.
Can not take this as the gospel truth, but he says there is no such things as ordering an FJC.
They are allocated so many per month, and he he says my dealer is playing me for a fool.
He says no dealer will sell an FJC for $300 to $500 over factory invoice, they go for MSRP and higher.
He says my dealer is hoping one will come in and I will get pissed off and buy it off the lot equipped higher than mine.

I dunno, it is nightmare.
I have been out of the new car buying game since 1990.
I may just spend $500 on a beater to get me back and forth to work, and save up and pay cash next year for a 2008 FJC.

I am going to drill my dealer tomorrow and get them to confess the truth here if they are playing me or not.

This other dealer says he will take my $500 and get me in one nice and quick like, but I will pay MSRP.

Lots of them here in New Hampshire. I've seen at least 6 or 7 driving around. Also every Toyota dealer I've gone buy have at least 2 or 3 on the lot. Yellow, black and blue.

Whew, glad it wasn't Silver.

Well, Leroy was at least right about one thing...a woman at the region does allocation tracking after monthly order entry.

I've forgotten exactly what you're ordering, but if you list all accessories (factory and PPO) I'll double-check pricing. To that amount add advertising (forgot, but around $500) and dealer profit estimate of $500. Then take your signed order to Leroy and have him write that price on the order and initial it. If he sticks with his promised $500 over AND his previously quoted trade allowance, that's about the best deal I've read of on any FJ board. Well done, now to get your truck.

You mentioned waiting until '08. The upside is more time to save. The downside is feeding your 'Runner, possibly higher finance rates and at least two price increases (Jan and Sep '07). The upside is new colors, equipment and maybe the rumored SE, but you're well along to making your own.

BTW, unless Leroy flinches, Burien is feeding you a line to get your business. Unethical at best, a can of worms at worst.

If it had been silver Bob, I think I may have lost my job, as I would have picked it up with my jitney and drove down the highway and placed it in my driveway

It was only there for one day, could have been a pilot there for a class or simulator time, but it was bought just 2 blocks from my work at Bob Bridge.

Here is the price quote, just did a fresh one.
This is exactly how Leroy and and I have it configured.
Take note now that when the original order was submitted back in April that we did not have the CQ on there, roof rack, hitch, just upgrade #1, and we learned from you that it has to have the CQ to get #1.
Leroy says this is what delayed my order.
But it still baffles me that it has not been built yet.
It sure missed the boat today!

Here is the price quote, and it is accurately equipped the way it is in the Toyota computer right now.
I do not see in that list the clinometer cluster for the dash or the rear wiper, but they must be part of the CQ or upgrade 1.

Yeah, that would be great if they hold to the $300 to $500 over that lower number.
That is the factory invoice right, but without tax, license, or dealer destination charges.

PS, I really do not want to hold out for an '08, the 4Runner will not make it that long.
And I would hate to dig into my down payment to buy a beater for transportation.
I want my frickin' FJ dagnabbit!

Numbers look about right +/- advertising and dealer profit.

The multi-information display (dashtop pod gauge cluster) is part of the Upgrade Pkg. #1 you're getting. I tell everyone is the aiming device for the ground-to-ground missle system.

!
You need to consider a different dealer. That should have raised a red flag, and you should have been notified back in April when the order was submitted.

Houston, er I mean Japan, we have lift off!
Dealer just called with my VIN #.
Still missing one digit, but that will filled in on Monday.

He went through the list with me for any extra port installed items such as:
Security system (no thanks, getting a Clifford with remote start and pager)
floormats (got 'em already from TRD Parts 4U)
rear cargomat (thanks again TRD parts 4U)
first aid kit (nope, got two of my own)
rear cargo storage net (will add myself later, maybe two of them)
emergancy kit (got flares, all that stuff already)
roof rack (yes, getting that port installed)
tow hitch (yes, getting that port installed)
4 wheels plus spare wheel locks (yes, getting that port installed)

Rig is due at dealer between July 25th to August 7th.
They will have it nailed down better after the boat sails.

Am I excited?
What do ya think?

We did not discuss $$$, but I have all of the original paper work with me on the first pricing.
We just have to redo it with the two packages, the 3 port installed items, then the trade in.

"Bout time they got your number. This will be the most antisipated debut of an FJCruiser in history. Keep us posted.

Decided against the alarm with remote start mentioned elsewhere in this thread.
Why?

$600 verses $380 for the one without it.
With the remote, you must sacrifice your spare key, and pay an extra $80 on top of the $500 for the Clifford alarm with remote start.

They need your extra key with the chip in it to bypass the Toyota security thing, not worth it to me for around and extra $200 to be able to start the rig with a button.
The spare key sits up undeer the dash next to the $80 extra module.

I will be happy with the just the standard Clifford with the pager built into the LCD fob.

Oh and it's silver too!
That's almost impossible to find, almost all of the Cruisers I've seen have had the full boat or very close to it. I just broke down and bought mine loaded because I would have had to wait forever to get it(not the smartest choice but I'm happy).
