FJammer tips and tricks

I like the system a lot. The active headliner adds a spatial dimension similar to the "concert hall" setting of a home theatre system. The powered sub produces fairly clean bass at moderate to high volume. Overall, impressive for a factory setup.

I noticed something new for a Toyota system. Every function retains it's tone settings independently, including radio bands. I first set the tone controls to my favorite FM station and was pleased. Then when I fired up a CD, it sounded flat when I expected better tone than the radio. Then I checked and discovered the ability to change tone for every function. Actually pretty nice feature if your iPod needs tweaking, though I haven't tried the Aux Input yet. Also, the volume between radio and CD is level, not always the case with other Toyota systems.

I'm no audiophile, but for my needs won't have to look any further for better sound. Not that it isn't possible on the cheap, the door speakers look to be standard size for once, so upgrades should be easy.

If anyone doesnt know, the sterios default orange color can be changed to almoast any color... for any function. (FM1, red, FM2, blue, CD, green... ect)

Read the manual on how to change the color of the display. Its actually really neat to watch the colors change as you scroll through them. The colors are very vivid.
Anyone who hasnt discovered this 'feature' will love it.

Awesome, thanks. One of these days I'll bust out the manual.
