Wheel Stud Replacement

Wheel Stud Replacement
Does anyone know the factory size/style of wheel studs for our T's? I need to replace the studs on the right front because three of them are stripped to the point where I am afraid to take the wheel off, might not get it back on.
Do you know where I can get new wheels studs? Are they only available through the parts dept. of the local yota dealer?

The front wheel studs are a pain to replace as you have to remove the front hub, which requires a special socket which is over 2-inches in diameter. The studs themselves are metric as I recall, like everything else on Toyota. You should be able to get them at any auto parts store, just be sure to buy a few extra to keep in the glove box, as they are not very expensive. The hub socket was the expensive part, at 30 bucks or so, just don't buy it at the dealer.

I'm having my local shop do the work since they have the lift and all the air tools. I just need to purchase the studs to bring to them. I really need to know the dimensions and style of metric stud(thread) for my T. I want them to match all the others.

Lug nuts
FWIW: Stopped into the local Carquest today instead of Napa since I was closer to it. The studs listed for my truck were in stock and I got all six. On the stud face there is a 266 in an arc shape stamped at the top, a W in the middle, and 10.9 in a reverse arc at the bottom. Just to make sure, I took one out to my truck, spun one of the stock factory acorn nuts off one stud and was able to screw it on to the new one with some effort but it went on perfectly until it bottomed out. Have no idea what the numbers mean and how they relate to the responses above, maybe someone can explain it.

Worst nightmare realized!
it figures: I went to rotate my wheels front-2-back like I stated I wasn't going to and when I got to the third lugnut to spin it off it just spun like a loose marble in the socket on my impact wrench....the stud it loose in the hub! I'm guessing the gorillas who put my tires on earlier this year reamed that nut onto the stud w/o hand-screwing it on 1st and just busted it out of the hole, or worse, stripped the splines in the hub!
Now I'm screwed, especially if I get a flat. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this nut off w/o destroying the wheel or hub?
