What's easier/better - to replace the motor or replace the head gaskets?

Trying to decide what's easier or better to do on a 1997 T100 with 250K miles & 80K miles on rebuilt motor which now has a blown head gasket.

Replace the head gaskets and keep the same motor
or
Replace the motor with one that has 78K miles on it.

Any opinions based on similar experiences?

Thanks!

80k on the new motor...just do a head gasket. if it was 250k i would maybe look for a new motor but you should be fine.

engine swap will be easier and quicker. Which is a better idea depends on what the internal look like on both engines, and you really should tear them down to know for sure. So its a gamble either way.
