I have a 95 T100 sitting on 31x10.5x15 BFG AT on 15x8 Procomps. No lift

I've done some searching but threads on T100s are pretty slim.

I'm kinda new to these types of mods, as I do not do any heavy wheeling with my truck. Toyota's stock setup gets me everywhere I need to go.

So my front tires are rubbing on the plastic mud flaps at full flex and cranked steering.



I thought I would just cut that portion of the flap and pound in the metal but it is fairly close to the body mount.

Any ideas how to reduce rubbing without lifting the truck? Would pounding this area in result is anything negative? Would spacers help? Should I simply allow the tires to tear through the flaps and hope they don't hit the metal?

Same problem here and i think i am ging to body lift or cut not sure yet

 

Take off the front mud flaps and add some wheel spacers.

It will fix it i promise.
Or take a hammer or saw to where its rubbing.
Nothing bad will come from it except if you dont like the looks.

 

I have the same tires/size on my stock 15X7 alloys and they have plenty of clearance.

 

are the rim's your running stock? my T100 came stock with 265/75R16's, which is a 31 inch tire, and i've never rubbed on the fenders. just on the sway bar after i put the bj spacers on...

-edit- just read signature. check the backspacing on the rims. stock is 3.75 if i remember right (someone correct me if im wrong...)

 

IMO stock Toyota rims are the answer to fitting tires w/ no lifts, we're running 255/85/16 (33") on stock aluminum Toyota 16" rims and they fit with no lift, mudflaps removed. I think the 16" rim came as an option on 97-98 T100, and 15" was standard from 93-98.

My suggestion is to measure and compare the backspacing on your rims to a set of stock Toyota rims, regardless if they are cast aluminum or steel and see if you can pick up a set. This would relieve you of beating your truck up and cutting things off.

 

take off the mudflaps, 10 or 12 mm i forget

 

I'll have to look into spacers. Not too worried about looks, its a truck not a piano.

I'd really like to keep my 15x8 wheels on the truck. The procomps are nice and were free with my old 86

They other day I took a hammer to the steel underneath the flaps. Looks much better on the driveway. I'll have to get it in the woods to check under flex.

 

I don't know what kind of wheel spacers you are looking for but I have a pair that will bump your wheels out 1/4 inch that are for sale. Just pm me if you are interested. I would also have to vote for just taking off the mudflaps and finding a less intrusive brand and slap them on

 

Took the flaps off and took some poser shots. I'm working in the woods tomorrow, I'll do a real test then. This isn't full flex but it gets pretty close.

yea id just pound it flat. but make sure theres nothin in behind it that could get damaged
