Wiring up 22R Simply

So a quick search yielded this quote
"Actually, it's much simpler than that. Mount your driveline, positive battery to starter solenoid, negative battery to engine block and to frame.
Make another positive battery lead (10 gage or so) run from batt or solenoid B+ to your push-button then to the toggle switch.
From the toggle switch, run normal harness wire to the white or red wire on the igniter/coil (didn't say what year yer workin on) - the black wire will run a tach, if you want to later. You may want to add a connection from this to your choke and fuel solenoid, if equipped.
From the push button, run a fairly heavy gage wire to the spade terminal on the starter (just under the main B+ cable)
Flip the switch on and push the button, if you have gas in the carb it should run. I would invest (at least) in an aftermarket gauge trio to monitor temp, oil and amps. "

Now, what else do i need to run it.
I have an entire wiring harness kit. This is for a custom situation..
I'm more interested in the alternator part.
with an internally regulated alternator where do i run the wires?

Sounds like a racing affair. Just get a "one wire" 100A alternator and wire it to the B+ through a large relay operated by the ignition switch. Do not forget to put a fuse in the loop.
