Hot Spots in Truck-Lite Beam

Hi guys,
My Truck-lites beam pattern has hot spots slightly higher than the cut-off. They are most obvious on low-beam. Do you see the same? I emailed TL about it but no response, yet.

(Those are my tarp and sleeping bag on grass. Reserving a spot for a big picnic at Zero Dark-Thirty because it's hard to find a good spot here during the summer.)

Any First-Hand Experience with the Truck-Lites 37450C?

Hi guys! My Truck-lite 27450C had been holding up for the the past 10 Years! Now I'm shopping for a pair for my LN 106 Hilux
The new Truck-lite model is 37450c. Does anybody have any first-hand experience or have seen it in operation? How's the beam pattern and cut-off?
Is it polarity sensitive? The 27450C is not. It works with our switched ground circuit.

I totally forgot about this thread….and the photo bucket pics are long gone

Sorry Rad I haven’t been in the market for a long time but I did swap my trucklites for some JW speakers that are heated, weren’t cheap either but are pretty awesome. Still have my Trucklites gathering dust on the shelf. Would love to hear your thoughts on these though if you end up pulling the trigger.

Just looked at their website and nice they have a heated option now. Website doesn’t give pricing and no distributor near me but I didn’t dig to far. I don’t see much info on the ground/polarity which was the huge bonus of the ones I reviewed. Silly me when I got the JW’s I totally forgot about the wiring and thought they were defective, then I remember and had to wire all the stupid relays which I hated doing.

Anyway keep us posted RAD on what you find out

Hi!
Did you replace the Truck-lites because you needed the heating?
I would not be needing heated because they would be used in the Philippines.

PM’d, And after my Toyota went from garage queen to my daily I did want the heated units, now it’s a side of the house covered queen But it was rare I need the heat but I got a sweet deal on eBay and couldn’t pass them up. Light output is about the same on the JW’s but the brights are a bit more intense.

Thank you very much DiscoBob! Got the Truck-lite 27450C's. Another update I verified that they are NOT polarity-sensitive. I know they work on my switched-ground 4Runner. However, this time I verified current draw on both polarities. Both are approx 1.5Amperes in low-beam, and both approx 3.2Amperes in high-beam. Happy New Year!

Trucklites Installed on my Hilux LN106

Hi DiscoBob and friends, I finally installed the Trucklites on the Hilux.
The lights are not polarity-specific so they plug-and-played into Toyota's switched-ground circuit. The only modification I did was file the male H4 connector pins to fit.
I also substituted cable ties for the missing plastic friction reducing tabs.
I believe they are being sold as Eagle 27450c now.

Before and after shots. Before I peeled the windshield tint that is so common here in the Philippines.
