injector problem

i just put a new motor in my 89 4runner that had been sitting for about 2 years. i tried to fire it up and nothing happened so i checked the plugs for fuel and there wasnt anything there so i put in a new fuel pump and still nothing so after checking everything i found that fuel is getting to the injectors but not passed them, so i cleaned the injectors and tested them put them back in and still nothing so i checked to see if there was any power to the injectors and there is only .01 of a volt to the cold start injector and the rest have nothing could this problem be caused by the ECU?. i would appreciate any help i can get,

Thanks Joey.

Injector power comes from the large ballast resistor (heat sink looking thing) on the passenger side fender. The ECU grounds the injectors. If power at the resistor, check the injector wire harness for intermittent connections at the splices that are about 6" up inside the wire loom.

Yea, check the solenoid resistor like 4Crawler said, i had that resistor go bad on my 86 4Runner and it wouldn`t start.

Hey so we think we narrowed it down to that heat sink looking thing (ballast resistor) but we cant seem to find it we got one from a scrap yard and theres no connectors! we found two wires that looked pulled off could this be our problem? (the guy at the scrap yeard thinks so) and if it is do you have any wiring diaghrams. thanks in advance

A Factory Service Manual wiring diagram would show that circuit.

so i checked all the wiring for any broken leads that matched the colours and i found nothing broked or taped together. nothing found from the main wire harness going to the injectors do these certain ones not run with one all the ones at the junk yard had them my friend said he saw a couple but i think they were removed. we got the one we found from the exact same model of truck just there no connecters on ours.
thanks in advance
