A/C relay?
Where can I find an A/C relay on a '87 4runner 22re? The comp. clutch only comes on if I attach the wire from it to 12V. I tried jumping the low pressure switch and it did not work. wiring diagram shows a A/C cut relay but does not say where it is.....Thanks in advance...

On my 92 it is on the top of the valve cover. Should have 2 vacum lines comming off of it. One of them going to the AC idle up adjustment screw. Look for a big white (cold be black) plastic screw on the drivers side of the valve cover and follow the vacum lines to the VSV for AC.
you can do a search on here and find 9 million post about AC alot of them with pics. Search is your friend

Ok I never really found the relay but I did fix the A/C. I was behing the glove box tracking wires and I saw the plug to the A/C amplifier was unplugged. I plugged it in and nothing happened. The 4runner was idling a little low so I turned the knob on the A/C amplifier counter clockwise until compressor kicked on. I then idled the RPM up under the hood. Now I just need a vac. and refill.....Thanks

I also have an 87 4runner and my a/c won't come on at all, can someone tell me where the low pressure switch is, that sounds like a good next step. The fuses that I can find look good but I havent been able to locate the one in the center of the dash yet. The light comes on in the switch. Thanks for any ideas you might have.

How many amps is the stock Toyota 22RE AC relay? I need to add a relay for my OBA project and was curious what size to use. Also, I wanted to wire it up so it only can be turned on when the ignition is on.
What would be the easiest way to wire this with a switch in the cab to turn the compressor on & off?
