I've had 3 pioneer decks, but not the specific model you are asking about.

You did hook up the remote line, correct?

sometimes on the pioneer decks you have to turn on the pre-amp outputs. try looking through your audio menu and see if there's an option for doing so. Also, try turning the deck off by holding down the "source" button for a few seconds. Once it's off, hold down the function button for a couple seconds and look through the menu that pops up....sometimes it can be hidden in there.

like jsnby said..make sure your remote turn on line is connected correctly. should be a blue wire that isnt connected to anything else.

With the unit off but the key in the accessories position, hold down the 'func' key (I think). It should drop you into a kind of base settings menu, where I seem to recall some options for sub output on/off. Hold down 'func' again when done to save the settings.

I think it's one of the 4 main green buttons, if it isn't the 'func' button.

Try connecting the blue wire to any 12 volt power source. This should turn the amp on. If it doesn't, you have a problem with the amp. If it does, you know you that the deck isn't set up to turn the amp on yet and will need to find the setting on the deck. If all else fails, you can always wire the amp up to the 12v you have powering the deck

theres a link to the manual for your headunit.. that should help you figure out how to turn on the subwoofer output

Well, never mind about the func button, looks like they got rid of it on the more recent models.

If I'm not mistaken the preamp output voltage of the deck is 2.2 volts. Make sure that is what your amp needs. Alot of the older amps you hooked up to the power antenna wire out of the deck which is 12 volts. Blue wire is power ant. blue\white is usually remote turn on

your problem is remote/power/ground related on ths amp. you cant turn on or off the output on the 1600. so run a new wire from that blue wire on your deck to the remote (always next to ground and power connections on amp) on your amp and it should work just fine. since there is no sub control make sure you turn on the low pass filter on your amp

i am pretty sure that is how it set up, i spliced the blue wire that can with the instalation kit with the blue wire and connected it to the remote on the amp. if i connect a test light to the blue wire it is getting power, not sure if that matters?

i have that same deck in my work truck. i got it installed at the radio place. if i remember that has one preamp. you need two to run an amp. thats what the radio place told me when i got it installed. i don't think you can put an amp on that deck. sorry

one output means you have 2 connections on the back(L & R). they prob meant that you needed more to run more then just one amp for 2 subs. in order to properly run and power 4 speakers and 2 subs with amps. you need 3 outputs. you got L/R front L/R rear and L/R subs. each single connection like white or red is for one channel. If your getting power through the remote with the cd player on thats perfect. now just check to make sure you have a good ground and make sure your getting power to the positive terminal on the amp. if thats all good then your amp is messed up

something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-6800-CD-MP3-WMA-AAC-Player-w-AM-FM-Tuner_W0QQitemZ230095665009QQihZ013QQcategoryZ3975 2QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i would go lower then the 4000 series. which would be liek the 4800. I personally run the alpine 9855 but wouldnt suggest it because of the slide touch. the new alpine 9856 is a nice deck though. there is always a deal on ebay so look around
