I have a 2002 Toyota 4 runner SR5. When we purchased the car we had one key fob we have now lost it and needing new ones. All the posts I find say find the FCC I'd to order new ones? If I don't have key fob which do I order? Tried searching can only find about programming them.

 

As this happens all the time. Every remote has an FCC number on it and then order some off Ebay. You should be able to find the FCC numbers for your 2002 with a little searching on the Internet.

Sorry I figured vehicle had a difference FCC ID didn't know it was all the same for that year / version.

I've bought several for never more than $15 shipped. Just look at their rating.

Look on the control module for the FCC number. Good Luck!

 

From 1996 to 1998 the key fobs are black and from 1999 to 2002 it's grey. You can buy them from auto zone for 100 dollars and then the box under the driver seat there is a red button on the side push that and the top key fob button should program it to the new fob so you will not have to take it to the dealer. I just brought one for mine and did it all myself .
