what should my next truck be

Well I would love to start a poll but i cant so jus post up in the thread. I am starting to look at a new truck to replace my 94 4runner. I am trying to decide between getting a tundra, fj cruiser, tacoma, or a titan. I am now living in Denver so I worry about trying to park a full size truck downtown. My wife is not to keen on the tacoma, she "doesnt like small trucks". If I get the FJ I am going to want to mod it up. So, do i get a full size truck and worry about parking later, do I get the tacoma and tell the wife to learn to like small trucks or get the FJ and mod it out? lets hear everyones thoughts.

Buy the Nissan Titan

then drive it into a lake

Depends on what you are going to use the vehicle for. If you want a "truck" with carrying capacity, get a truck. If you want a wheeler, get an FJ. Personally, i say get the best of both worlds and get a Double Cab TRD Tacoma!!

btw....the tacoma is in no way "small" anymore.

What would you rather have outside your house, a pickup truck, or an SUV? I would rather have a pickup, and since I have to drive roughly 20 miles to work 5 days a week, I would go with the Tacoma. It may be small, but it can haul stuff you need around, and it gets better gas mileage then a Tundra or a Titan. Besides, the new ones look so much cooler then the Tundras or Titans.

The new Tacomas are pretty big, you should take your woman on a test drive in one. They are good trucks (even though their hood is freaking huge...)

I wouldn't want the Titan, but that's just me. Of course, I don't really know anything about them except they have a pretty strong V-8...

Good advice guys, I have been going back and forth between a '06 Dcab tacoma and an FJ. I took her to see the tacoma and she agreed that they "were better looking than she thought"

Personally I've go with an extended cab taco, mainly because im just not a fan of a double cab tacoma for some reason. I'd shy away from the titan. I've been hearing a lot of negative reports in terms of long term reliability. Sure I've got my toyota bias cranked, but if im hearing this news often, I'll stay away from that truck. I want to say FJ, but the problem I have with it is that i live in a city full of rich fake people. I've seen one FJ actually outfitted with good shoes (and mud on it, no less!) compared to like 15 with huge blingy rims and some random pretty boy or girl driving around thinking they're the shiznit. tundra is way too big for me, but if your girl wants a bigger truck that might be an option. my vote goes to the taco.

I vote for a newer Tacoma too, definetly a bit larger than the last gen but still very easy to drive.

I tell ya what, in a few years when the runner starts to go, I was definately looking at a TRD Pre-Runner Taco, the price is right for like 18gs brand new, and with a locked diff, it's all I will need. 4cyl. 5 speed, and you have one tough economical truck, that will take a beating. Just my reccomendation, I don't use my yota as a DD, just something to run around in, and have some fun with.

I vote for a PRE 05 Tacoma, they are "little trucks" when cpmpared to the tundras and stuff, but my 04 D-Cab dwarfs my girlfriends ranger, and Its a nice size truck, and I LOVE it. Thats wher you should be looking.
