Cleaning Rear Window Wind Deflector?
I'm doing some serious detailing on the exterior of my 4Runner (Wash, Clay bar/detail spray, buff it, wax it), and the rear window wind deflector looks horrible, all white from sun damage. I tried polishing it with some polishing compound, and it didn't really do anything except take off more of the black color, so it's even whiter. Short of repainting it, does anyone know of a method or product that can make it shine like it was new? Thanks .

At that stage you don't really have an option but repainting but it's should be easy, just take it off,do some light sanding and rattlecan it with some flat black for the factory look or gloss it up. Also make sure you finish it up with a couple coats of clearcoat in either the flat or shiney varieties to get the desired look.
I'll be doing mine by summer's end since mine is starting to look a bit faded.
