TRD Boost Gauge range

TRD Boost Gauge range
For those of you who use the TRD boost gauge with your supercharger:
What is the range your needle generally moves between the In.HG. side and the PSI side during normal driving conditions?
I just reinstalled my SC after a rebuild, and it appears to be dropping deeper into the IN.HG side (near 20) than I remember during its prior installation. This occurs when I let it idle or let off the gas while driving. I seem to remember it hovering around the 0 mark between In.HG and PSI at the top of the gauge. The gauge still registers 6 psi when I pin it, so that side of it appears to be normal.
Do you guys usually see this much fluctuation, or have I screwed up somewhere in the reinstall?
While we're on the topic, what the heck does In.HG. stand for anyway? I googled it and found out that it is a measure of atmosphere, but have no idea how that relates to the function of the SC...
Thanks for your help

And it is normal for a SC to pull vacuum when at idle.
