Which tire do you all think is better
Goodyear Wrangler RTS (All-terrain look)

Michellin Cross Terrain SUV (highway look)

and I know there's revos and so on, but i want to know input on these.
I'm going with a 265/70/17

I don't have any experinece on the Goodyears so I won't comment on them. I would go with Michelin LTX M/S over the cross terrains since both are really a dedicated highway tire (LTX has better wear and less road noise).

 

The GY RTS is generally a decent tire that comes from the showroom on a lot of trucks but for their price there's much better options depending on what type of driving you're going to do. Do you want just the look for the street or are you going to go off road?

i had the LTX a while back and they were great!

Also, had the Revos..they were good...but the price was bad

the Nitto Terragrapplers are fantastic..cheap/strong/good looking

at 105/shipped...cant find a reason NOT to go with the nitto

 

Off road - Great

On road - leave a lot to be desired especially in the wet/snow.

ive got the michelin ltx a/ts, so far dry and snow has been good. ice not so much. ive yet to try em in the mud...

 

im looking for on road- i dont have 2wd so my runner is just show. i already bought my rims so ill probably get some tires today. tirerack rated the michellins alot higher, but i just wanted to see what those who drove 4runners thought. THANKS!

 

if you want on road...get the nittos. They are GREAT on road, very quiet for an AT. The come sipped already

Go with the Yokohamas geolander H/T's. I have them on my Taco, great tires on dry and wet roads. And they get great reviews and are inexpensive.

 

i've never heard a good thing about the RT/S tires other than maybe a few people who were given a set for free.

 

My Cherokee came with Wrangler RTSs and they sucked. I replaced them a couple years ago with the Michellins and they are a great road tire. I have thousands of miles on them now and they are still in great shape.

They work well in the little bit of snow we see in VA, and they grip well in the rain, too. The Wranglers would spin pretty easily when wet, but the Michellins are much better.
