Do Sequoias have a rev limiter/speed sensor? The best I can get out of my '05 is 105 miles per hour @ 5,000 rpm, on level ground. What feels like controlled ignition interruption sets in at this speed. The truck has less than 50K miles on it and has given no mechanical trouble of any sort. Thanks.

Unplug the speed sensor. You will have no readout, but it will not interrupt the motor output.
The lawyers demand the speed limiter to keep morons from doing just what you are doing on non-speed rated rubber. But I am all for Darwin and the genepool needs cleaning dangit!

Every toyota EFI has a rev limiter. But i refer back to what others have said...why oh why would you need to go 105+ in a giant box? You are driving the most non-aerodymanic vehicle toyota makes, then wondering why it wont go over 105.

Well at 5,000 RPM I wouldn't strain that engine much more, I think 105 is about all that she's got... I wound my truck out one night, speedo buried past 110 hitting my trip odo. reset and I was running at about 5500 RPM and backed off, I couldn't see ...
