Talking Newbie show and tell

1989 FJ62. Roughly 3 inches of lift, 285/75/16's on Tacoma rims painted graphite. Extended Confer roof rack with spare tire, hi-lift, and 4 ProComp 8inch lights. SOR brush guard and tail light guards, 4Runner third brake light. Custom snorkel and riser cables. Custom rear storage compartment. Early Chevy Van rear ladder made to fit for rack access. Custom white face guages and interior touches. Imprint of friends J**p Wrangler on passenger rear corner, and Roush F150 hood scoop (pics soon). Have had her 6 years and wouldn't trade her for anything. The mods have just started, more to come after deployment...GO NAVY!

So here is one of my current projects, a hood scoop. I wanted to find one that would somewhat resemble the new Toyota ones, but wanted more definiton due to the FJ62's body style. I chose the new Roush F150 scoop. It's bolted on, and no it is not functional. Not sure if it will ever be, would make the snorkel pointless. I tried matching the original paint, needs some more buffing, but the color doesnt look too far off until I have the whole Cruiser repainted. Next is filling in the small gap where is rests on the hood to give it a more "all one piece" look. It sure gives the Cruiser a new look

Thanks. Mine do not shine off the hood. Just straight into whoevers rear view mirror I want. Lights up the whole car in front of you.....the two on the front help with that too. People think police are on them lol. No hood trouble. Mounted on the outer side of each windshield wiper.
