As with any motor, power doesn't come cheap.
Intakes, a header, and exhaust will help a bit. But for real measurable power gains you are talking cams, tuning, power adders, and bottom end work.
if you just want a few extra ponies to brag about, spend the money on a good intake (AFE seems to be the best, K&N sucks) a GOOD quality header, and a good exhaust. Btw, stay away from any "chips" or any of that cheap crap you can find on ebay. Whoever came up with all that garbage is a genious, because they are legally robbing people blind. Those chips and tornado things and electric superchargers are nothing more than excess weight.

Do a tuneup if you want to keep the taco and maybe gain back some performance.
What size tires ? Gears ? An auto is your first problem of why its so gutless.
