Looking for good '80's dash repair materials

Hi guys....

Little off topic, but I'm trying to repair my 1980 Datsun's cracked dash. I have the dash and the pad out of the car (and I really need to finish this so I can get my yota in the garage and drop the transmission....another story).

Basically, the dash is yellow foam underneath, with thin, brittle (now) plastic on top. There were several WIDE and DEEP cracks so I had cut them back with a utility knife. I have sanding paper, some SEM materials as well:

SEM Plastic/leather prephttp://www.yourautotrim.com/semplpr.html
SEM texture coatinghttp://www.yourautotrim.com/semteco.html

Now, I DON'T have this yet, but it's what I'm thinking of picking up next:

I got this from a great writeup on a Datsun forum:

Something else I cam accross was this 3M Stuff on youtube:

3M adhesion promoter spray #05907
http://www.amazon.com/3M-Automotive-Polyolefin-Adhesion-Promoter/dp/B000PEPBW8/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1319175737&sr= 1-1

3M #05887 bumper filler
http://www.amazon.com/3M-Automotive-Automix-Flexible-Repair/dp/B000PENEN6/ref=pd_sim_hi5

So, has anyone done this successfully with any of these materials on a cracking 80's dash? I really want to move on and clear my garage. Not worried about sanding and paint - just want to fill those cracks so I can ....sand and paint and put it together!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Phil
