Bought my 87 4Runner turbo in 2012. Paid $900. COB's 87 4Runner

It had been sitting for 5-6 years. I replaced the engine (ARP head studs, 261 cam, bored, metal timing chain guide, etc), replaced turbo with Supra CT26, swapped auto A340 transmission with W56 5-speed. Side exit exhaust, Ct-26 compatible downpipe (2 1/2"), 17.5" test pipe that can be switched with cat during smog time. Rebuilt front suspension + hubs.

Polished off the single stage paint, added a bikini top and clear lenses. Did the ZUK mod to counter the rear sag, slightly raised torsions to counter the ZUK. Painted the 3rd gen 4Runner SR5 wheels with Duplicolor silver, replaced the decade old tires with new A/T's. Also have another set of 33" BFG MT KM1 on black steelies.

Revamped ugly red interior, still in progress. Alpine radio, Grant signature steering wheel, replaced lots of broken trim and painted lots of parts. 2 tone red and black interior. Seats from 2nd gen 4Runner.

I paid $14993 in 1985 for my $runner with 16 miles on it. Almost 30 years later it has 151772 miles and unfortunately just spun a bearing....... but it is worth repairing. I love my truck!!!!!

I paid the low cost of $300 for my 4runner. its a 1986 with a 22re and has 237,000 miles. Ran good when I first got ita but only lasted 1000-1200 miles before the motor went. It now has a fresh 22re and brings me joy of driving everyday.

This place was a college past time for me. I'll be on here more now. I sold the '93 and just scored an '01 today. Here you have it.

'01 4runner 4wd
190k miles
Stellar Blue
Runs like a champ with minimal leaks. Needs a good wax, detailing, and paint touch up. I'm also going to do tint, shocks, radiator, and tranny cooler.

$4500!!! Austin has a pretty good 3rd gen 4wd market. They don't last long. I found this one just north of me on the Killeen CL. I still can't believe I got it that cheap.

I've wanted one of these ever since I had my 2nd gen. Let the fun begin!

96' 4Runner SR5 3.4, auto, sunroof, brush guard and 265/70/16's. Body and interior near flawless and minimal rust. 203k miles. Last month paid $1400 and and $30+time for sparkplug insert. Running great and couldn't be happier with purchase.

2000 4Runner Sport Model 4WD

Bought it used in 2005 with ~40k miles. Paid $14k for it.

I wasn't even really in the market for a truck but my brother was looking for one so I went along. He wanted a black one so he passed on my 4Runner. It was too good of a deal to pass up.

I now have 210k miles on it and it is still trucking.

I love it.

I just got an 85 4runner DLX auto which I traded a 2009 Ford Focus for. The Focus had a few body dents, needed front end work, and needed a new clutch. I had to pay for shipping on Toyota to my town which cost 800.00. So I figure I have 3000 in it total but that includes the tags and title cost of 300.00 as well. I'm pretty happy with that.
