Hello Yotatech

Howdy folks. my name is Meta. im a dealership technician at toyota. i love my truck, and thats why im here. any questions, feel free to ask, hope i can provide some insight. please do not ask about noises, because if im not there to here it, i cannot verify it.

News. if you own 4 runner, tacoma, or tundra and have had your ball joints replaced for the recall, there is now another recall on the ones that have just been replaced. you can take your car to any toyota dealership service department and have them run your vin number and see if this new recall applies to your car or to see if it already has been done.

Not a recall yet. new Tundra's with the 5.7L engines have been snapping camshafts when under heavy loads. this is due to a problem the forging process. when this becomes a recall, toyota will put a brand new crate engine in your tundra instead of just replacing the cams.

G'day, and welcome to YotaTech.

A friend of mine just bought a new club cab Tundra with the 5.7 last week.
I will make sure he sees this.

99-04 4runners are affected i think. but you can call any toyota dealer and have them run your vin number to check. its not going to cost anything tho.
