Exhaust

im going to be putting Exhaust Stacks on my 1980 toyota 4x4....custom of course...2.5in pipe...dual 4inX24" stacksand i have a roll bar..so its going to be protected because of that...no muffler...no cats...just straight pipes...im hoping its going to be loud...i like the sound of it right now without the pipes...(its disconnected at the header)...but i dont like the sound and SMELL of the exhaust inside the cab...the passenger cnat even hardly breathe sometimes...(for some reason..the exhaust is on my side...so idk why it would come in over there)....just wondering if anybody has ever seen or heard anything like this...i like the straight pipe sound...and i was wondering how is the flow going to be to the stacks...abotu equal or more to one side than the other...im just doing duals for the looks...i'll post pics as soon as i get it installed! ...i know its going to be loud...but i love LOUD

if your going one to two pipes you just have to make shure you have a good and equil Y pipe... if so it should make the sound equil on both pipes..

Ok, this isn't Pirate so I'll be gentle.
A. Stacks look dumb, there is no way around that. Stacks are for big rigs, anything else looks stupid with them.
B. Loud closes wheeling spots. This is why loud is bad. Loud also doesn't equal power.
C. 2.5" exhaust pipe is overkill for a stock motor, unless you have a header, stick with 2".

i love loud i cut my exhaust after the cat and gutted it and stuck a cherry bomb on it and it's loud as hell but i also think with no back pressure you lose a little bit of power but what ever i like loud and in idaho you can do what ever you want no gay emissions testing.

2" exhaust, no cat, cherrybomb glasspack, it sounds and performs sweet! No emissions testing in oregon either.

personally i dont think stack look too good on small trucks, but with a 4cyl i would only do one stack, not 2. and running open headers you lose ALOT of power, trust me.
