A big Thank You
Hello yota tech.
About 2 months ago I had some big issues with my 92 4 runner. The waterpump died, oil squirted from evreywhere and it refused to start, just to name a few.
My local mechanic quoted me $4000, This included a water pump, timing belt, and a few deeper problems that he thought it had.
WIth the help of some very switched on yota techs, who took me from the avgerage man who could change oil and coolent on a good day, To a man who has now
-Changed a water pump
-Timing belts
-oil seals
-rocker cover gasket
-a few sensors
-Air mass unit
-loads of hoses and clamps
and anything i missed,
And the best part all for a total of $489, beats $4000!!
My 4 runner is currently running like new, holding perfect temps and is ready for camping trips with my wife and son again!
Words can not express my gratitude for the help and support offered through this forum, even for a Aussie like me. Non Judgmental ,non biased, willingness to help and understand are just a few ways I would discribe the yotatechs on this forum.
Thank you to everyone for sharing knowledge both directly to my posts and within threads I used to do this work. You have kept my pride and joy running 100%!! Keep up the good work!! THANK YOU!!!

Congratulations on getting it repaired. Not only saving the money you did, but doing it yourself is a reward in itself. There will be someone else eventually that will have similar problems and you having been in his shoes will have a ton of information that will get theirs back on the road again. Congrats again.
