I had to ditch my 04' taco in deep snow last week, failed 2 recovery efforts that night at 3AM with a durango and a silverado, had to hike 5 miles out. I wasnt concearned though because i know every person in town with a truck big enough to get it out, and they were all ÅÅÅÅing gone in washington on a trip.

spent a nice 6 hours shoveling and getting stuck again to get it out the next day, but no damage :-D

two pics from a trip this fall. the suburban is infamous, they tried to winch it out and it just bent over itself. it sat for like 4 months.
the ford rolled the night before, it was a fishy deal. the note on the windshield was placed to be easy to read from the pass side when the truck was upright, and there was a tow strap around the drivers side front wheel. we found the tail-gate 200 feet up the hill.... they came later and tow strapped it to the road.

We had to leave it that night. We drove up around 6AM the next morning with shovels to dig him out. He also had about 1 grand in repairs once all said and done.
