Angry 3 Strikes in a week

So, last week I decide to do the Seafoam cleaning for the first time, and it worked great. Smoother idle, slight power gains, rapid start up. Worked great. Until I noticed the blue/black smoke coming through the exhaust manifold. It has a small crack in it - strike one. A few days later, I see a 91 4runner 3.0/auto loaded with 136,000 miles, 1 owner in perfect condition for 3,500. All maintenance records from the dealership, even the dome lightbulb was marked Toyota. I decided it was too good to pass up. I called the guy, who was still at work and tell him I'll call him once I eat dinner. I pass some JERK driving it on the way back for dinner. To make it worse, I have to drive by this guys house 3-5 times a week now and see it in his driveway instead of mine - strike two. So the wife and I start thinking about trading in her 04 Corrola for something else cheaper to ditch the car payment since we think we have about 6,000 in equity. I go to CarMax and have them check it out. They offered me what we owe on it. It seems that 3 years ago when she was rearended by a soccermom, who was looking for her cellphone, our car suffered frame damage and we were not advised by the bodyshop - strike 3.

Eat a live toad first thing in the morning. That way nothing worse can happen to you all day.

When i was looking for my first truck, i missed out on an 85 pickup on 35's with another set of 4 in the bed, 5.29, locked front and rear, rebuilt 22re with under 10,000 for $1,800, guy was going into navy. My parents said no because it was too tall.

Missed out on an 89' pickup, 4" lift, 35's, v6, .,....,
Nope, called tooo late.

Missed out on some other ones too.

Anywho, theres a reason you didn't get that 4runner. Something better will come up.

Yep, I'll stumble into something. The best part was that my wife agreed to drive the 4runner for about 3 yrs and then get something else. I was going to keep my Taco and get to have the runner. Which would have been freakin SWEET!!!!!!

Yeah, man...everything happens for a reason. Sometimes you see it right away, other times you don't see it for awhile. Just go with the flow. There's something else out there, better, with your name on it.
