How about you keep the 22r in the yota get the 37's with like a 3-5 inch lift and change the gearing. tow the yota with your GMC to the river, put 1 quad in the bed of the yota, one in the bed of the GMC and one could still fit on the trailer. If your only going 20 miles your truck will pull it all. My uncles 2002 Silverado 1500 pulls a sandrail, 2 quads, my three wheeler and sometimes a golf cart and he goes 200-300 miles at a time 10-15 times out of the year with no problem. Plus towing your toy is the best part of having a toy. Toys break, if your toy breaks you then have to hitch a ride to your house to get your GMC or bother somebody else to tow it back home. It will save time and money to just tow your yota where ever you want to play. you may look dumb pulling up with your truck on a trailer but really you are the smartest one there.
Just my .02cents
and one question if your not a Chevy guy then why did you buy a GMC? they are the same thing as a Silverado.

Lol its a gmc not a chevy! I kno its the same but it dont have a bowtie on it! To answer ur question is because they offered me more for my 09 f150 and with the rebates I got alot more truck for my money. 28k on a 38k sticker vs fords 37k on a 42k sticker.

I actually like the new Seirra more the the Siverado. I work with the new Silverado and I don't like all the little plastic stuff in it. But at work its a tool so it doesn't really matter haha.
You might want to see if your truck will even fit on the trailer with 37" tires on it. You might need to keep some stock wheels and tires so you can get it on the trailer.

Aww dude i never caught that the OG motor was down.
any motor will work really it matters what is in your price range. If you want to spend about $1500 go with a 22r if you want you could buy a Nissan SR20 out of a junk yard car that will be like 90-400 bucks. a new one is like 4000
SR20 will push you truck with those wheels just fine and it will be fun.
The V8 will be a lot of weight and the V6 would be fine. but in my opinion domestic V6's suck. go with like a J35 or a C35 Acura/honda. or a yota 3.0 or 3.4, or a vq35 or vq37 there are endless possibilities.

I'd say go with a 5.0, they're shorter than the 5.7's so there is room for the radiator and parts are cheap. Im running 8" (or more) lift with 39.5 boggers w/ 1ton rear ends with a 22re and I cant wait for my 5.0 swap. 22re does fine in town and on the trail but the freeway sucks!!!

Sound like u just need to get a T-100 V6 and SAS it with dana 44s. Or get a bronco. 37s will kill stock axles with no upgrades. Also if you scared to break stuff on your gmc then why did u buy a 4x4 truck? Trucks are ment to be used. run it, break it, fix it, repeat
