nut & bolt info lookup from toy part#?

Is it possible to lookup info for a particular nut/bolt using the toyota part#?
Im in need of a bunch of random nuts/bolts for my taco; By looking at the toyota parts diagrams, Ive been able to gather up all of the part #'s for the hardware that I need, but I dont know of a way to find out the length/size/threading/characteristics of each nut/bolt based on the toyota part #'s. My goal is to be able to go to a junk yard or auto parts store and collect all of the hardware I need based on size, instead of being forced to buy direct from toyota.

example: part #90080-10097 is for 'BOLT, WASHER BASED H' in the online toyota parts catalogs, but I need to know what size/threading it is...

So, is it possible to find this info somewhere online?

Unless you have a really good auto parts store they will not have the hardware you seek.

I have a bolt bin just for JIS** bolts The strange ones I just buy from the dealer who I think has reasonable prices.

The most common sizes are going to be M6x1.00 M8x1.25 M10x1.25 M12x1.25

length ranges from 10mm up to as long as 100mm for some of the special ones like head bolts etc.

Japanese Industrial Standard means you have the 12mm head on a M8 bolt 14mm on the M10 etc

Unless you got buckets of old Toyota bolts like me separated by diameters then your best bet is to just go to the dealer. It'll save you time and money in the long run instead of driving all over town looking for stuff talking to folks who probably don't know or care.

I just get a one of those multiple size JIS bolt boxes in Metric. 95% of the time the correct size bolt or nut will be in there.

Investing in one of those bolt size reference templates that hang on the wall is invaluable. It has saved me so much time and frustration.

Nope. I got a bolt sorter that works for cookies and ice cream.

I want one of ^^^ those ^^^ hats!!!! ok hi-jack over.

To keep on topic, just get the odd ones from the dealer or an online OEM parts supplier like toyotapartseast or toyotapartszone etc etc.

My own thoughts

It is really nice to know your local Toyota parts people.

This is just me.

But I see it all the time in all kinds of business unknown walk ins get treated poorly . No it is not right and poor business practice but it seems to happen more and more.

Exactly. I know everyone in the dealership.

I always love new salesman that ask if they can show me where the parts counter is

You know it is funny when the service manger asks how you would go about fixing some problem that has them looking puzzled.
