dual chain 22r's were 81-82 at least in trucks, unless it's been converted.

also, its common for people to drop a 20r head on a 22r and make it a hybrid engine w/ dual timing chain, right?

might wanna give the head a look and make sure its a 22r head rather then a 20r

to verify the year of your engine you need to show the intake ports on the right side of the head..pre 84 were one shape and 85(or 84) were different.
can not put a 20R head on a later block, something about the piston dome being different between early and late..

any 22R can have dual row timing chains...when doing a timing chain it is a common(and smart) upgrade to go to dual row....

83-84 is rather simple to convert, later 85-95 ones aren't. Only one person makes the dual row timing cover for the late model 22r/22re. That's LCE.
