I have a limited 2003 V8 4 runner. The front passenger side window and the back drivers side window can only be operated fully by the driver's power window controls.


When someone in the passenger side tries to bring up their window it only goes up halfway and I have to finish it as the driver.
The same thing with the back driver's side.


I would think it's the switch, but why work halfway? And then I would think it's the window, but why can it go up when done from the driver's control panels?


I'm confused and I'm considering taking off the panel to check it, but would appreciate some advice.

Sorry this probably isn't much help, but it's most likely a wiring problem. The switch shouldn't be hard at all to pop/unscrew so worth checking. Maybe water got into it and corroded/shorted it.
