Try using a pickle fork. They have a press fit into the knuckle, so they can deff be stubborn at times.

The 2 jaw pitman arm puller should have done just fine. New moog TRE's from napa are only 40 bucks at most.

i use 2 sledge hammers, one is 2 lb and the other is 5lb, hold 2 lb near knuckle and swing 5 like you hitting the wife. works every time and very little damage.

I thought wives stopped enjoying being hit after marriage? Hmm. Pickle fork, and you can get new boots for $2. Go with Yota ones, generics aren't a tight fit.

Yeah, that was a double entendre.

Not a fan of the other kind of hitting, well-placed words work much better.

Go to Sears or home depot and buy a short steel shank 3lb hand sledge. It may be your favorite hammer ever.

harbor freight or napa ball joint separator. Pretty sure it will fit in there.
