All- I have a constant clank coming from underneath my '03 4runner Sport (no XREAS). The slightest bump gives a raucous clanking rattle. Initially I was thinking tie rod ends but they seem solid, and when I give them a hard spank with a rubber mallet with suspension free floating I get no clank. Brake dust covers are tight. The sound led me to these two items initially. I banged around some more with the mallet and could not find the clank.

Then I wiggled the rotors. I get about 1/4" play side to side and about 1/8" front to back. Is this normal?

Any other ideas on what to check?
