Replacing engine questions...
I'm trying to price out an engine replacement since I don't feel comfortable rebuilding an engine (yet). If I buy a replacement engine from Orient engine or Oregon engines what else will I need to complete the swap?
(ie, I think they come with the valve cover gasket, timing belt/chain installed, etc). Currently I'm guessing I would need an oil filter, oil, maybe new spark plugs and wires, and a new distributor.
2nd question is that it seems most people recommend going ahead and replacing the clutch while the engine is out (and yes I'm talking about a manual, not the auto in my profile, I'm not that newbie of a newbie
). What is the difference between a 1200 lb vs 1600 lb? And what decides whether I would need a ceramic or regular pressure plate?
