rear backing plates/complete axle assembly question

current axle is from rear of '86 4-runner
potential donor axle is from rear of '90-93 pickup. don't remember the exact year.

can the complete assembly axle shaft to lug nuts be bolted onto my '86 housing?

I searched and searched, and found that the backing plates are different between the axles, but is the bolt pattern where it bolts to the housing the same?

86-95 4WD is pretty much the same rear axle with minor differences, all 6 lug 5 on 5.5

I think the backing plate difference is in the 2nd gen 4Runners with the rear coils. E-brake setup is different as I recall, same parts but different locations. But pickup and 1st gen 4Runner should be very similar.

he should have the same brakes still since he is using the housing only and his old backing plates 4runner brakes on a pickup axle.

my current backing plates, shoes, and ebrake set-up are toast, so I'm looking to just pull the entire assembly from the truck axle into my housing...
just wanted to make sure the 4 bolts that hold it to the housing were the same pattern...

thanks.
