Correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken i think its located behind the glove box. You will have to remove the glove box to access it.

I don't have a pic of it, since I have a 22re, but for the 3.0 the Aux air valve that controls the idle is attached to the underside of the throttle body, so you will have to take the throttle body off in order to mess with it. Good luck, I just had to pull mine out as well.

Oops sorry ignore my previous post. I thought you were talking about the box that controls your trucks idle when you turn the A/C on.

My fault

Well, trying to find some pics here about it, I came across a write up of a 3.4 I believe the 3.0 has it in the same area, but don't quote me on it.

I have an extra tb, and don't see any kind of valve on the underside. I was assuming that the Iac had an electrical connection. Is that wrong?

Blgt has it right, FSM is the way to go. There are some links to some pdf form FSM's if you search the forums. The IAC (22re calls it the Aux Air Valve) should have an electrical connection, as the 22re has one. The FSM showed where to adjust it. I haven't seen anything for the 3.0. Hope you find something. Thought about swapping out to a 22re or a 3.4? then all these tips would have fixed your problems!!
