One Locker(aussie)...Rear or Front.
#21
Just a little more elbow grease, in fact most of the time I don't even notice it's there. I've had my locker for a year now and I don't even hear the racheting that Mooner mentioned (I have to have my window down and the fan off to hear the faint clicking). In my installation I was within 2 thou of being too tight according to the aussie specs- maybe that accounts for how smooth and quiet it is. Keeping track of tire pressure is important. I can feel the pull if one is low. I pack down my 200' driveway instead of getting it plowed and before the locker the 4runner was useless for that task. I used my old Bronco II with a limited slip rear. Now the 4runner with crappy AT tires is far superior for that job. Both have 31x10.50s. When I start sliding into the ditch the Bronco usually has to be winched back onto the road while the 4runner can pull itself out.

I only get any noise when at full right or left lock and moving, other than that smooth as silk. Never any issues thinking I cant turn.
go for it!
