hey im new here, im having a couple debates here. first off i have been thinking about getting a set of 4runner rims, and putting 33/11.5 BF A/T on and i will be puting in a 3" body lift to start off. i have a 91 yota pickup IFS and want to keep it pretty close to stock but want it to have a wider stance. would this set up i have planned work?

For comparison here is my truck with 32x11.50R15
Stock height, NO suspension or body lift. I just corrected the rear sag with 11'' coils. (zuk mod)

I had a 97 4Runner 4x4 and ran 285/75/16s on my stock alloys with 2.5 inch spacers in the front and 1.5 in the back and ended up having to use spydertrax wheel spacers which worked amazing, no more control arm rubbing!!! http://www.spidertrax.com/Toyota-Hub-Centric-Spacer

For anyone who is searching: I have a 87 2WD pickup and was able to stuff 235 75 15 tires on, with some banging on the fenders. This is probably the max you can go without any lift. I still rub when I hit dips or try to make a U turn.

i am in a stock rig (soon to be modified). its my daily driver and i put on some 31x1050x15 on it. I could have used 16in rims but i like the 15s better. BFG All Terrain KO. good tire. No Complaints on freeway or off road

Ok here goes, Im a newb here and I am aware that the question im about to ask has been beat to death, but I have been unable to find the answer im looking for.
I just bought a 92 ex-cab 22re all stock suspension the tires however are 265/75R/15 on 9" rims (hopefully I measured them right) they are chrome deep dish rims and the tires are ballooned out past the wheel wells and they sling mud and crap all over the side of the truck and in MHO makes the truck look like it came out of a cartoon.
I have read more threads than I can count and have not as of yet found the solution to my problem.
So here goes if I have the same tires put on stock 15x 7"W toy rims will this cure the problem of them sticking out past the wheel wells and give it a narrower profile?

Hey Guys-
New guy here, Chris in Tulsa. Got a stock 1991 regular cab v-6, 5-speed, 174,xxx miles. Did some parking brake work, and just got Goodyear Wrangler 31x10.50x15's mounted on the stock wheels last night. I'd like to get some new flat Black steels, but I can't seem to find any in the correct offset. I think I need like 4.25"-4.75" offset....? I found some Rock Crawler 15x8 3.75" offsets at several places on-line for a good price. Anyone know if these will work ok with stock set-up? I'll have to order them, no one I've found around here stocks them, so I want to make sure they will fit before I pull the trigger.
I hope I don't get killed for this post, but I read all the other stuff, and I figured out I needed the above from that info. But on one site for the wheels a fellow stated he had a set on a 1990 and loves them, only stick out a little further than his stock wheels did. I didn't think their was any difference between the two, but you guys are the experts!
I learned riding/mod'ing Harleys that on-line forums are worth a ton. I have saved alot of money and heart ache reading!!
Thanks for the info....I'll be quite and keep reading!

gonna have to put this in here as well. Since not too many mentioning 86-88 pickups or first gen 4runners and 33X12.50R15. And including what wheel widths and offsets, just saying they fit and don't fit etc etc. Now since I have the flatbed, I cannot speak for rear fitment issues.
Tires are Mastercraft Courser M/T 33 X 12.50R15. They almost have full tread. 2 years wheeling and no pavement seen.
Specs from Mastercraft website:
Approved Rim Width : 8.5" - 11"
Measured Rim Width : 10" (meaning a 15X10 rim) This is important since tire dimensions change when put onto different rim widths.
Overall Diameter : 32.5"
Section Width : 12.8"
Tread Width : 9.9"
Tread Depth : 21/32"

15X8 wheel 4.75 backspacing.
31X10.5R15 No rubbage at all.

33X12.50R15

This is the clearance I was worried about. Upper control arm/ball joint area. For some reason, it's almost the same clearance with the 10.5's.

Full lock clearance to the idler arm.

Full lock clearance to the bottom of the inner fenderwell. (not flexed)

Full lock clearance to the swaybar mount.

Full lock clearance of the front what used to be the valance/bumper corner bracket. Yeah that's gonna have to come off.

Full lock lack of clearance to the rocker panel. 1st on the outside then from behind the fender.

And some more for good measure. Left tire 33, right tire 31.
