Hi everyone.
I just purchased a 1993 4runner with a 3.0 v6 engine. Body has some dents in it....Passenger side back window has a big indention at the top corner of it that i would like to fix....(not sure how or what to use to pull it out. Window would have to be removed i think to pull it cause it is right next to it.)
The person i bought it from said it had 12,000 miles on a rebuilt motor and tranny. I have no paper work from him showing me that it was rebuilt. Is there a way to tell if it was infact rebuilt?
Also what things can be done with susspension? It really bounces alot going over little bumps. Is there just shocks in the front or is it struts too?

I dont know if us civilians can do it. Im sure the Wabbit will be 'round shortly and he will give you the boot to the proper forum.
In regards to your questions, I am not a body guy so I have no idea how to fix dents other than a hammer. In regards to the engine, I would at first check to see how clean it is visibly. If it looks nasty then, I doubt it had been rebuilt. I would also check leakage of any fluids(oil, coolant, etc.). Then I would do a compression test. Wet and dry.(Google it to find out how if you dont know). Try to get as much info from the previous owner as possible. Shop that did the rebuild, machine shop that performed the engine work, etc...
